I highly recommend Kipps Lane Fish n Chips! I was hard pressed to find a classic fish n chip joint such as I had adored as a teen in Toronto in the mid 1970s. A true, halibut fish, hand filleted with the classic, puffed up batter and golden fries is a rare treat to still find these days especially from a family owned and operated restaurant who are so friendly and who take pride in what they serve you. I love this place! Whenever I am near the market and I am in the mood for a quick lunch I go here. You pick your container of lettuce and then pile on whatever veggies/cheese/protein you like. (The deal is 3 veggies/1 cheese/1 protein). And add sunflower seeds or croutons and dressing of your choice. I love it cuz I can customize the salad to what I want and not a set combination. My usual is romaine w/broccoli, celery, carrot, avocado, feta, and chicken with oil and vinegar dressing.
The veggies are always fresh and the people working there are always friendly. They also give a packet of melba toasts with each salad.

We decided to try Waldos for valentines dinner and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I selected from the set menu and chose the steak. The appetizers were great, baked brie, smoked salmon salad and lobster bisque were all very nice. Our meal arrived and was cooked to perfection. The steak was exactly as we asked, asparagus was cooked perfectly as were the roasted potatoes.
As our meal was to be followed by attending a play at the Grand Theatre, our time was limited. Joe, our server, was a great representative of the restaurant and ensured that we were served in a timely fashion. Time ran short and since we could not take the set dessert with us... Joe arranged for us to have a different dessert to take with us. Joe was a great guy who helped make the evening a success. The only suggestion would be for the restaurant to have complimentary roses for all the ladies in attendance. We will certainly return again soon.

THE YELLOW CURRY WAS A BEAUTIFUL BLEND OF FLAVOURS AND THE JASMINE RICE -- TO DIE FOR! Ive been to several sushi restaurants in London including Kawa, Wonder, etc. and Sushi Ya has hands down the best maki and nigiri I've had in the city. Lots and lots of options for rolls, doesn't stick to the bog standard, which seems to be one of the biggest issues for every other sushi restaurant in London. Creative and delicious combinations.
Fair prices, the box deals are a great value.
The couple that runs it are very pleasant and nice, plus its a really small place, pretty adorable stuff.
Highly recommended to all.

Absolutely fantastic! Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or any romantic occasion. My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food.

My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though.
I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. Thank you for a great night out!
