This place actually has two names, Yee's and 'Al's Pizza'. I haven't really ordered any of the Chinese food before, but here's the secret - PIZZA ROLLS!!! They are like egg rolls but instead they're full of whatever pizza toppings you want. They ask you what you want in them and make them right there in front of you. They are to dieeee for I love them, and they are SO cheap only like $2.25. I've never come across anything like this at any other restaurant, so it keeps me coming back. Al is such a nice guy too, so friendly and always remembers my face. The sauce that comes with the chicken wings is amazing, its like sweet and sour sauce mixed with medium wing sauce or something, I don't know but I love it.

Sure I'll go back. It's a pub with a great pub atmosphere - good selection of brew on tap. Great nachos - really good value on that - and why not? It keeps you drinking! The other food we had was fine and good value for the price. Service was friendly and attentive. Not all gorgeous as one reviewer wrote (probably an employee) but very good at the job. Want some pub grub? You won't be disappointed.

st veronus still has wonderful tasty food. I especially love the stoemp. BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options.

I went in on my lunch break to grab something quick to eat. I never expected such a variety of items on their menu! They have wraps on whole wheat, massive sandwiches on ciabatta buns which are under 10$ with a side! Never have I found such a nice place with great service. I had my wrap (seriously vegetarian) within 15 minutes. Was served nice and warm! Great choices for healthy lunches which are filling, and also treats for those who have a sweet tooth! Definitely recommend their cupcakes to anybody who loves sweets. Best shop in Peterborough!

I would rate this restaurant as the best on the Peninsula; admittedly we haven't visited them all but we've been to many of them. My wife and Iive 30km away in Lion's Head and we love to go down for lunch. I usually get either the wings or the Hot Turkey, but my wife gets different things. Great place to eat. The ladies are all very friendly. the menu has variety so it doesnt matter what you feel like having they have something to satisfy you. Their sandwiches are AMAZING! They use meat from the butcher next door which adds that little extra for an awesome sandwich or burger. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, we even take our baby there because anyone is welcome!

Having spent many forgettable hours in the old Pacific when it was a straight bar with a pool table, I was intrigued to see what the new owners had done especially as being from Jamaica, they have introduced some staples from The Islands into their menu. Pool table long gone and nicely laid out tables with linen napkins (!!), fresh dark paint greeted us. Orville, the owner's son welcomed us and his evident enthusiasm for the jerk chicken roti convinced my friend (who generally is a very fussy and unadventurous eater) and I to try that. It comes with choice of salad or soup of the day which on this Saturday night was curried pea (chick peas). The soup was excellent: thick, creamy, flavourful with just enough curry to satisfy and not spicy hot at all but warming as soup should be. Jodi took over and brought our roti which was full of flavour, once again mild in heat but you can have (as I did) a side bowl with some wickedy hot Jamaican sauce. The shredded chicken/potato combination was wrapped in a phyllo pastry adding richness to the warm mouthfeel of the dish. It and the soup was a really full meal. After-dinner coffee was very, very strong. Extremely friendly service and the tasty entrees make this a delightful addition in a veritable wasteland for well-prepared, good food. I'll be interested to try their take on some of the many regular menu items (steaks, pork, burgers, etc., etc.).

This friendly, greek inspired, restaurant is a great place to stop in to and have a relaxing meal. The pizza is the best in the area and the Red Ale from Church Key Brewery is reason enough to return! I've eaten here 3 times, tried something different each time, and will continue to frequent this jewel of Lakefield. I found out about it through a recommendation from a local resident.

The roti here is spectacular. They have goat, beef, chicken, veggie, etc.. Just enough heat in the curry, great potatoes, huge portions. So much flavor. It is the best roti I've had, period. The jerk chicken dinner is also very good.
That being said, I have heard some horror stories about the cleanliness of this place. I love that the owner has decorated the place to make it seem like a cultural oasis in an extremely white city, but it just NEEDS TO BE CLEANER. I don't want it yuppiefied. So, stick to food that has high turnover, like the roti.
The uniqueness and quality of the take out at a place like this is something that I would actually miss if I moved away from peterborough. That is saying something. The food is the only reason it is worth risking eating at a place that looks like it could not pass a health inspection.

Fajitas were fantastic but steak was quite tough though cooked to order - had much better quality steak, I am thinking..We both found the gravy to be very salty and lumpy, and the steamed veggies tasted odd. I love this place! It's a small store front family restaurant. As we walked in the door, on the left, is a huge fish shaped menu, virtually from floor to ceiling and hand printed in chalk. It took several minutes to read but was well worth the time. We were greeted by the proprietor, Darcy, who showed us to our table. We talked for a bit and discussed the menu as she described her featured items. I asked about the chips (french fry style). She uses fresh, hand cut, russet potatoes deep frying them to a shade darker than golden brown. These are the chips I have only dreamed of, since childhood, so many years ago. (Today, almost all are frozen, yuck.) The white fish is from the deep cold waters of the Northern Great Lakes No bones about it. The caesar salad was crisp with a tasty dressing. My double order of fish and chips were good for two but perfect for me. No regrets! The cold slaw was finely chopped and delicious Although this is an older building, the washrooms were clean and tidy. We were only in the Wiarton area a total of four days but we liked the fish and chips so much, we went back for a second dinner.

Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner.

This is my second visit to Splice's new S Burger addition. I first heard of it when I saw a Wagjag. Although I was hesitant at first, I figured that every joint is at least worth a try. I was expecting rather mediocre food given that the venue's primary face is a nightclub. I think this is the same reason why they are not getting the number of patrons they deserve. The food was surprisingly good. Excellent burger & fries served with a pleasantly garlicy aioli, and the organic wings with housemade sauces were quite good as well. The service is hit or miss depending on who you get (the dark haired girl was very attentive and accommodating).
If you haven't tried out Splice since the addition of S Burger, I would highly recommend it. Quality ingredients & good service. Just don't order the coffee...

This is a great place to go for greek food. I am also lucky to say that I had the pleasure of having the Shis-Kabob Hut cater my wedding three years ago and we were oh so happy with the results. They served up a great meal to our specifications, and they had to travel 2 hours to get to the venue of the wedding (it was not in peterbourgh) but the food tasted jsut like it was served in the resturant. My husband and I plus all out family and friends are frequent visiters of this great place. Go in and enjoy some great greek food. You will not be disapointed!
