Today was the first day I had been there in years, and things have changed... For the better :) I took my children there so they could see the streetcar like I did when I was younger. All of the staff was warm and welcoming, the streetcar was closed when I arrived but they overheard my childrens disappointment and opened the doors just for us. We were served promptly, and our food was ready in no time. Which I know for me is important when you take out your kids cause they can be soo impatient. My burger was cooked just the way I like it and my cheese was actually melted on which doesn't always happen in the fast food business. The onion rings were a little different than what I remember but they had a good combination of a crisp outside and a soft batter inside. My kids had more of my shake then I did but they seemed to love it lol. I will deffinately be goin back this summer on my way tothe cottage, it's so worth waiting for. Oh. Before I forget, parents be warned they don't have kids burgers, only nuggets which I thought were actually a great portion size. Oh and they're a cash only business they have an ATM, the only annoying thing about stopping in was the people in front of me in line didn't see the signs that clearly say cash only and held every one up. The Jambalaya was supurb. First time eating a Jambalaya dish. Originally, it called for shrimp, But I subbed those for scallops. The had NO problems doing that. It was full of Chicken, scallops, spicey italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and red onions in a creamy tomato sauce topped with a garnish of green onions. I have been to Waterfalls Lodge 6 or 7 times and have stayed a week each time. All of their cabins are located right on the water and they have about 10,000 acres of water on 7 adjoining lakes. Most times I go there I catch tons of HUGE smallmouth bass and lots of Walleye. The food is totally awesome and all of it is made from scratch. The Boats are some of the best I have fished from. We go there on the American Plan which includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. If you are interested in a great meal, great fishing, and a relaxing vacation then be sure to check out Waterfalls Lodge. The last couple of years we have come around the end of September and the leaves are absolutely spectacular. Read more

There aren't many places in the area where one can get fish & chips, unless they drive to Barrie and go to Fancies Fish & Chips. Blue Water Fish & Chips is a small restaurant with a tired decor. Mind you there are historical photos of boats that have travelled Georgian Bay & the Great Lakes and are interesting to look at.. We love the halibut served here. While the portion size is small it is extremely tasty, with mild tasting halibut and a golden batter. After the second or third bite you can taste & feel the grease but isn't that to be expected with deep fried fish? I've never eaten fish & chips that I haven't tasted the grease. We hate it when the restaurant is closed for vacation. We love eating here and they even have lots of newspapers and reading material for those of us that prefer to read while we're eating. All we've ever ordered has been the fish & small chips or else we'll order 2 fish and a small chip each and we never go away hungry. Read more
