Cheap and Delicious food, it is easy to miss until you have been there, the place may be a little difficult to find but you can get a great meal and could expect to pay anywhere between $9 to about ~$17, a great deal for the food you are getting. Not only is it delicious but it is also filling. The owner is extremely friendly and you get your meals quick. The atmosphere is great and is definitely welcoming, and the closest I could find to a problem (which is definitely much closer to being a nitpick) is that if you are both vegetarian and gluten free you are out of luck (however if you are one of those things, there is something for you). Better than most ethnic places I have been to in Ottawa, and once you find it once it is much more accessible than the comparable restaurants that often are in the centre of town. I look forward to my next experience there. EDIT: Also it is designed to be a dinner place and the meals feel that way, if you have a choice of going there for either dinner or lunch I would recommend going there for dinner, although I here they are fairly busy around dinner time. Great food that is well priced keeps us coming back over and over again. The atmosphere is nothing spectacular but it is clean and well maintained. It simply doesn't wow. We drop in frequently for a quick meal and order one of the vermicelli bowl dishes. Coupled with green tea it makes for a very tasty and satisfying meal. When we visit with more people we like to order a variety of dishes and have yet to be disappointed. The sizzling seafood platter is particularly tasty. Our party of 6 sat out on the patio for our supper on a beautiful sunny day at the end of May. The service was good and for the most part the food was ok except for two out of our party who ordered the hamburgers. Its disappointing that they can't make the effort to make their own patties. Espcially considering our wait time. Its not like the food was served super fast. In fact, it took a while but we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush. Anyways, the burger patties are the kind of processed "precooked" patties that you can buy in the frozen food section at a grocery store. Rubbery and very off putting. A disappointment! I had the NY strip steak, not bad but I ordered rare and it wasn't rested when they served it. Not a big deal. We also had the calamari, zuccini sticks and patotoe skins for appetizers. All passable but nothing to write home about. I'd go back again for a drink and an appetizer but I probably wouldn't have a meal. I love the pub inside, very old school british pub feel. I think it would be cosy in the winter. The patio has a great view and is a nice place to go for a drink. Read more
