The Mango Tree is closed and a new restaurant called the Mint Garden is open in its place serving Vietnamese cuisine. My wife and I ate there last weekend and it is very good. As Vietnames cuisine is not as spicy as Thai, If you want to add a bit of heat to your dish, ask for a small bowl of chili oil to put on your food. Read more

my friends and i love this place! the food is always good and the waitresses are all so friendly and funny! they're also very accommodating since i have a ton of allergies. (not to mention, their portions are HUGE) sometimes the food takes a bit to come out when it's busy, but that's always understandable. overall, it's a great place to have a casual lunch date with your girlfriends, they're never pushy about patrons staying too long. I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time, in late November and had a fabulous meal. I agree with all of the reviews here. In my opinion, not many restaurants deserve the reviews they get but this one certainly does. Fresh, tasty and authentic. We discovered this restaurant tonight and enjoyed a lovely evening. The decor is lovely and the tables give one a feeling of privacy. The service was excellent as was the food. The extensive menu incorporates something for everyone, from very mild to spicy. We especially enjoyed the ambiance with the low lighting, suble music and comforting food. We WILL be back soon! We dined at the Siamese Gecko last evening for our anniversary. The menu had plenty of options, you could choose from curries, stir frys, and soups. After each meal title, there is a ranking of how spicy the dish is starting at not spicy going up to very, very spicy. I chose item 25-2 (sorry, the name escapes me) because it was under the very, very spicy and it certainly was. Even with my tongue on fire, there was an amazing amount of flavour. It was served on a platter with chicken, green beans, sweet red pepper, Thai basil, kaffir lime and crushed hot peppers. My wife had a squash curry that was delightfully creamy and the squash melted in your mouth. It was a non spicy dish with some sweetness in it and again, plenty of flavour. The prices are excellent, most dishes range from 9.99 to 11.99 and we both brought home half of our dinners. Meals do not come with rice or noodles, they are extra. However it was only 1.99 for a bowl of rice that was more than adequate and the whole cost of the meal was very affordable. Service was adequate, the restaurant was clean including washrooms.
