At Streats we pride ourselves on the quality of our food. Using fresh ingredients, doing everything from slow cooking beef in house, creating our own sauces, to making salsa from scratch. A manager out of ...

A manager out of touch with cook supervisor, looking over order takers shoulder, cooks unsure of what to put down, and a fry girl more interested in listening to complaints and chatter than doing her job. Guy in front refused his order as fish sat for 8 minutes in boxes. My take-out fish was okay, but the fries were disgusting, and there was no coleslaw when I got home. Disorganized, poorly managed, staff with no leadership, and no one watching food quality. Poorly run show.

First time visiti...

First time visiting a Joey's Urban and the manager was fantastic! The place was clean and he atmosphere very friendly. It was a very positive experience.

Terrible!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would, I gave it to my dog. I ordered cod and classic poutine. The cod was tasteless and greasy and after one bite, that was it. It was very small, maybe 4 bites at the most. I have had much better poutine from a kiosk in the mall. You could tell the fries needed to be cooked more, and the gravy had no flavor at all. I told some people from work this and they laughed and said it must have been the first time at a Joey's Urban because they could have told me that before I went and saved me the waste of time and money. Apparently, it's not just this location but they have had the same experience at other locations. I am a maritimer, and when I get what is supposed to be "Hand Cut" I do know the difference. This was my first and last time at any Joey's

Failed - dirty dining area , mediocre food.

Management needs to get it together as the floor and windows needed cleaning, tables were dirty the night of our visit, and one food prep worker had long hair and no net or hat while on duty. Food was only fair at best and kitchen even forgot the meat in my wifes' dish. While this area of town needs more restaurant choices, Joeys Urban won't get a repeat visit from me.

Been to many different vietnamese restaurants throughout the city and found this to be the most authentic. Menu is easy to read and explains what every dish is and are rated based on popularity. Food taste excellent and is served in large portions. Service is also quick and waitress comes by frequently to check if anything else is needed. Very friendly staff and seems to know most people by name. Does however need a little bit more style and decor and maybe even a public bathroom renovation may be required. Otherwise great restaurant if you want vietnamese food. Would definitely eat there again!! Read more
